Synonym Practice   Using review vocabulary give paired students a crossword which is blank only containing the dark areas and the numbers.  Tell them the clue and number for each empty space on the crossword.  Monitor closely and assist by eliciting correct answer.  Plenary check answers and concept check for meaning.  Useful for synonym practice or generally reviewing vocabulary.
