Some of the ideas on these pages are from personal resources and others are from other teachers and ESOL websites and are chosen for their relative merit for teaching IELTS.  You are welcome to copy any of these and I do not claim any ownership to them.  I have only listed to date ideas which I have used and which worked well in class.

Water Pistols

This outdoor activity came off the Internet for a hot day.   Two teams of students form a large circle and must stand still.  The team members are alternate in the circle to mix them up.  One student from each team will stand in the middle of the circle and be blindfolded.   The teacher silently places a water pistol somewhere in the circle and shouts go.  The two blindfolded students race to get the gun with directions from their team.  The first to get the get can take off the blindfold and squirt the other competitor.
